You are cordially invited to enjoy an inspiring evening and lovely dinner party. This annual event, hosted by NCC-AWIS brings together 4 chapters to celebrate 3 distinguished women scientists as well as several outstanding students.
The event will start with hors d’ouvres in the sunny, bright foyer area. Dinner will be followed by speeches by a diverse and interesting group of awardees.  It will be an opportunity to meet and network with these ladies, their colleagues, and AWIS members and friends.

• Keynote by Amy Herr, UC Berkeley professor using engineering to solve biology problems
• The 2013 Judith Pool Award to Telle Whitney, PhD, CEO and President of the Anita Bourg Institute
• The 2013 Ellen Weaver Award to Becket Feierbach, PhD, scientist in infectious disease and Genentech Inc.
• The 2013 Sherrie Wilkins Award to Roopa Ramamoorthi, PhD, Associate Director at BIO Ventures for Global Health (BVGH), a non-profit organization whose mission is to save lives by accelerating the development of novel drugs, vaccines, and diagnostics coming from the biotechnology industry that address the unmet medical needs of the developing world.
